  • '(a shiny stone)'; the term comes from *nmr, “to shine”. The connection with alabaster or the like has been made by Pasquali (Lessico [2005], 72, with previous bibliography), since the term appears as na₄ na-mur-ra-tum in incantation ARET V 5 = 75.2194.
